Have you ever wondered to take your class on a tour of the world without leaving your classroom? With Skype and Google+, you can do just that! Mystery Skype, Mystery Hangouts, and virtual field trips allow your students to connect with other students from around the world while improving their writing skills, deductive reasoning, problem solving, and knowledge of the world outside the four walls of their classroom.
Objectives
Attendees will discuss the value of Mystery Skype and Google Hangouts as a tool to create global community and develop critical thinking skills in the classroom. They will leave knowing how to contact their first Mystery class to arrange a Mystery Skype or Google Hangout.

She is constantly learning and teaching about Google in the classroom. She has her masters in Instructional Design and Education Technology from the University of Utah. Not only is she interested in implementing technology in the classroom, but she seeks opportunities to learn and practice instructional design.
